A common dilemma we face when making video content marketing material is video length. Recently, someone asked about how long a tutorial video should be so I wanted to address that.

In my opinion, it’s not so much how long the video is as much as it’s about how concise the information within the tutorial video is.

My biggest problem is when a tutorial video wastes time (mine!) and doesn’t just get to the point. Or even worse is when I don’t learn what I thought I was going to learn.

It’s no wonder my favourite thing about YouTube is the speed control!

So it’s totally cool to make longer tutorial videos, but remember to be organized, stay on point and don’t waste time.
