I like making money as much as the next person, but what I don’t like is having people give me more money than they really should. I know that sounds crazy but I’d rather earn your trust than make an extra few bucks.
And it’s why I always try to get my clients to keep their marketing videos short. The three reasons why short marketing videos, such as explainer videos, how to videos, testimonial videos, or any other videos are:
1. Forces you to be clear and concise with your message
A big mistake many companies make is they try to squeeze in too much, rather than being focused on what the target audience actually needs to hear. A shorter video forces you to be precise with your message.
2. Audience retention
No explanation needed for this one, I would think.
Longer videos cost more because of the time involved, which does not necessarily translate into more effective videos. Keeping your videos short saves money, meaning you can spend money on additional videos or other forms of promotion.
So those are three reasons why short marketing videos make sense. What do you think? Let me know in the comments section below.
And get in touch if you’d like to talk about getting videos made to help your business… short videos, of course.
